Can I as a PCP regularise my knowledge after the transition period?

PCPs who cannot prove their knowledge with a certificate for the code of conduct and/or anti-money laundering legislation must in principle take the exams for Module 1 - Basic knowledge.

However, their employers can request approval from the FSMA to regularise their knowledge of these subjects by taking a special refresher training course, without then having to take the exams for module 1.

These applications are examined by the FSMA on a case-by-case basis. Therefore, we cannot confirm that a positive response will be given to any particular request.

Provided that the employer has received approval from the FSMA, the PCPs concerned can prove their knowledge of the subjects for which they do not have a knowledge certificate, as long as they take the following remote refresher training courses and pass a test:

>> Refresher training for information requirements and code of conduct

>> Refresher training for the prevention of money laundering and the financing of terrorism in life insurances
